What kind of church is Farmville Seventh-day Adventist Church?

We’re a Christian church that seeks to follow Jesus, serve our community, and help people grow in their faith. We are part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, a denomination known for its focus on the Bible, healthy living, education, community service, and the hope of Christ’s soon return.

When do you meet?

Saturdays (Sabbath)

  • Bible Study Groups: 9:30 AM
  • Worship Service: 11:00 AM

We also offer Bible studies, prayer gatherings, community service opportunities, children’s programs, and special events throughout the year.

Why do you worship on Saturday?

We worship on Saturday because we believe the seventh-day Sabbath is a special gift from God. It’s a time to rest from our busy schedules, spend time with family and friends, worship together, and reconnect with what matters most.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable.

Some people dress up, while others come more casually. You’ll see a variety of styles, and no one is keeping score. We care much more about meeting you than what you’re wearing.

What can I expect during a worship service?

Our services typically include music, prayer, a Bible-based message, and opportunities to connect with others.

You’ll find a welcoming atmosphere, practical teaching, and people who are striving to grow in their relationship with God.

Do I have to be a Seventh-day Adventist to attend?

Not at all!

People from many different backgrounds visit our church. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church after a long time away, or simply curious, you’re welcome to join us.

Do you have programs for children and youth?

Yes!

We offer age-appropriate Bible classes for children and teens each Saturday. We also host Vacation Bible School, family events, community activities, and youth programs throughout the year.

Our Pathfinder and Adventurer Clubs help children and teens develop practical life skills, leadership abilities, friendships, outdoor skills, and a deeper understanding of faith in a fun and supportive environment.

What do Seventh-day Adventists believe?

At the heart of our faith is Jesus Christ.

We believe that God loves every person, the Bible is His Word, salvation is a gift of grace through faith, and that Jesus will one day return to make all things new. We believe God calls us to love Him and love others through our words and actions.

Do you offer Bible studies?

Absolutely.

We offer personal and small-group Bible studies for people of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re brand new to the Bible or have studied it for years, we’d be happy to help you explore its teachings.

How can I get involved?

There are many ways to connect:

  • Attend a worship service
  • Join a Bible study
  • Volunteer in community outreach projects
  • Participate in family and social events
  • Serve alongside others in ministry

We’d love to help you find a place where you can connect, grow, and make a difference.
